Launch of the TBUC Summer Camps 2016/17

The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister, in partnership with the Education Authority, are inviting applications from groups who want to deliver a Camp under the Summer Camps Programme 2016/17.

The Summer Camps Programme is one of the headline actions described in the Together: Building a United Community strategy. A pilot programme was held during 2015/16 and 101 Camps were delivered. The Summer Camps Programme is about building positive relations among young people across all parts of our community and must have good relations at the core of them.  The Camps, which are open to young people aged 11 to 19 years, must be held between 1 April 2016 and 28 February 2017. Camps are not limited to the traditional summer period and can take place throughout the year.
