PRIMARY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TEAM
At present, the Primary Science and Technology Team have been busy working on the following issues.

The Nuffield Science Processes and Concept Exploration (SPACE) approach to teaching science.

The team is currently supporting fourteen schools who requested assistance in areas such as policies, schemes, literacy, investigative work and technology.

FORTHCOMING INSET

• The next Primary Science and Technology Co-ordinators' Day will be used to examine issues arising from the Equal Opportunities Commission Report on "What Science Engender". This explores gender differences in the teaching and learning of primary science.
• ICT and Science Teaching.
• The links between Numeracy and Science and Technology Plant Science for Primary Schools.

Exemplar policies and schemes are continually updated to reflect current needs and requirements and are available to schools on this site.
