Designing
The pupils will have:
  • identified and discussed the need for a reference aid for T&D ;
  • written a clear specification which reflects relevant design factors;
  • established a sequence for manufacture.

How things work

Manufacturing
The pupils will have:
  • used a guillotine card cutter to produce individual bookmarks from multiple sheets;
  • laminated card bookmarks to ensure durability;
  • considered and discussed batch production methods in industry.

Lower ability

  • considered and discussed the importance of resistors in electronic circuits
  • calculated values of resistors using colour codes
