SUBJECT GUIDANCE
The revised Programme of Study for Technology and Design has been in place from September 1999. It reflects the increased emphasis on the practical dimension to the subject raised in the School Improvement Programme established by the then Minister for Education, Mr Tony Worthington.
Planning for the delivery of Technology and Design is essential to ensure that pupils are provided with the opportunities to develop the range of skills and knowledge outlined in the revised Programme of Study.
The guidance offered here is designed to support :
- the current Programme of Study;
- the subject's contribution to the School Improvement Programme;
- the whole school curriculum.
