My name is Nadine, I'm 8 years old and I am in P5. I love Chinese New Year. I have a brother in P4 who is called Alvin. He loves writing and I love reading. I like Chinese New Year because we are allowed to light fireworks and watch professionals do crackling lights all over the place in a very amazing way. At Chinese New Year we also have Hari Raya which is what the Malays celebrate. We usually get red envelopes which are full of money and my mother puts the money in the bank. I am always very excited and happy when we celebrate Chinese New Year because it is a very special occasion, especially when we invite people to our house and they give us money. Sometimes we imagine being millionaires but not for very long because at the end of the day after all the excitement we have no money left. I can't wait for next Chinese New Year.
