DRAMA

The Programme of Study for Drama at Key Stage 4 has two essential components, making and appraising. Making means creating or using dramatic forms (improvisation, acting, mime, dance drama) in order to understand and express ideas about the world. Appraising involves applying the skills of reflection, analysis and evaluation to the process of making.

The number of schools in the SEELB which provide courses in GCSE Drama has doubled in the past five years. There is also growth in the number of schools offering GCSE Media Studies. This is undoubtedly because of the popularity of these subjects with students.
