EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
It is the policy of the Board that all eligible persons will have equal opportunity for employment and advancement irrespective of perceived religious belief, political opinion, gender, disability or race.

The SEELB has adopted a number of policies and procedures addressing key equal opportunities issues. The Board and its Senior Management Team are committed to securing equality of opportunity for all Board employees and it is essential that all members of staff are involved in ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and equally.

The Board monitors applicants for teaching and non-teaching posts by use of an equal opportunities monitoring questionnaire. In addition to fulfilling its legal obligations, monitoring provides statistical information on the effectiveness of policies and procedures. All monitoring information is treated in strictest confidence and used solely for statistical purposes, access being strictly controlled.
