Jackie Fitzsimons

Chief Executive: JB Fitzsimons BSc MBA MIPD

Jackie Fitzsimons has had a long association with education, as a student, teacher and administrator. He joined the SEELB in 1976 as Youth Officer and was promoted to Education Officer in 1978. In 1989 he was promoted again to Chief Administrative Officer before becoming Chief Executive in 1997.

The Chief Executive is the main policy adviser to the Board and is responsible for the overall management of the organisation. He is assisted by a Senior Management Team comprising four Strategic Unit Managers and six Assistant Senior Education Officers.
